Raj Kapoor was a legendary Bollywood actor, director, and producer who stood 5’7″ tall. He was born on December 14, 1924, in Peshawar, British India (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan), and died on June 2, 1988, in New Delhi, India. He was the son of Prithviraj Kapoor of the Kapoor family and had four siblings: Shammi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, and two sisters.
Kapoor made his acting debut in the 1941 film “Aag”. He went on to star in over 100 films, including “Awaara” (1951), “Shri 420” (1955), “Pyaasa” (1957), “Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai” (1960), and “Mera Naam Joker” (1970). He won numerous awards for his work, including three National Film Awards and eight Filmfare Awards.
In addition to his acting career, Kapoor was also a successful director and producer. He directed several films, including “Awaara”, “Shri 420”, and “Pyaasa”. He also produced several films, including “Bobby” (1973) and “Kabhi Kabhie” (1976).
